Artificial Insemination in Horses

Equine Artificial Insemination at Tomlinson Equine

Predominantly our reproductive reputation lies with Equine Embryo Transfer, however our Artificial Insemination results speak for themselves.

Every year we help many British Breeders and European Breeders breed from their mare with the Stallion of their choice. Each year we have breeders coming to Tomlinson Equine with mares who may have aborted or been difficult to get in foal. We have many success stories of where others have failed and we have succeeded.

Some Equine Breeders come to us to perform an Equine Embryo Transfer (ET)  followed by an Artificial Insemination (AI) with different stallion choices or the same stallion.

We work with fresh, chilled and frozen semen. We have a number of Stallions who visit the centre for collections, please see our Stallions page to see if these Stallions are on your list. We also work closely with a number of centres and services so we can receive chilled and frozen semen to the centre to inseminate your mare.

We work with you and your mare throughout her pregnancy and can perform routine examinations at your yard, on ‘walk in’ at the centre  or residential basis at the centre. Walk in and residential require your mare to have the following negative results for CEM, EVA & EIA and they must be booked in through our office.
